Essential Oil Facial Wash and Cleanser Recipes

1. Normal Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • 1/3 cup of castile soap
  • 2 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 2/3 cup of purified water
  • 8 Drops of Ylang Ylang essential oil
  • 4 Drops of Patchouli essential oil
  • 2 Drops of Lemongrass essential oil

Mix the ingredients in a container. Cleanse face thoroughly with a cotton ball dipped in the mixture. Save any that is left in an airtight glass container.

2. Combination Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • ½ cup of sunflower oil (for skin)
  • 5 Drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 2 Drops of Orange essential oil

Mix the ingredients. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture and cleanse face with it. Allow to stay on face for 15-30 minutes. Clean off oil with a towel dipped in warm water.

3. Oily Skin Cleanse

This is probably the easiest one to make but that doesn’t mean that this essential oil face wash recipe isn’t effective.

You will need:

  • ½ cup of Witch Hazel
  • 5 Drops of Lemon essential oil

Mix ingredients and use a cotton ball to cleanse face. Save remainder of mix for next time.

4.  Extreme Aging Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • ½ cup of jojoba oil
  • 8 Drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 4 Drops of Tea Tree essential oil
  • 4 Drops of Geranium essential oil

Mix the oils and wash face with the formulation. Use a steamy wash cloth to get dirt and grime out and to deliver the benefits into your skin.

5.  Acne-Prone Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • ½ cup of Witch Hazel
  • 5 Drops of Neroli essential oil
  • 1 Drop of Lemon essential oil

Mix ingredients and apply to face with a cotton ball making sure to get all traces of dirt. Save the rest for later.

6. Floral Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • ½ cup of jojoba oil
  • 6 Drops of Rose essential oil
  • 2 Drops of Lavender essential oil

Mix together and cleanse face, using a cotton ball. Wipe off any leftover oil on your face with a warm damp towel.

7. Extra Moisturizing Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • ¾ cup of virgin olive oil
  • 8 Drops of Geranium essential oil
  • 4 Drops of Rose essential oil

Mix the ingredients together and thoroughly cleanse face. Use a towel dipped in warm water to wipe face after 15-30 minutes.

8. Gentle Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • ½ cup of jojoba oil
  • 6 Drops of Chamomile essential oil
  • 4 Drops of Lavender essential oil

Mix the ingredients and cleanse face using gentle strokes to get rid of the dirt and grime, but not too hard so you do not irritate the skin. Wipe face with a warm, damp towel.

9. Citrus Skin Cleanse

Deliver much needed extra vitamin C to your skin with this citrus essential oil facial cleanse. The skin loves vitamin C and needs it regularly.

You will need:

  • ½ cup of sunflower oil
  • 5 Drops of Lemon essential oil
  • 5 Drops of Bergamot essential oil
  • 1 Drop of Grapefruit essential oil

Mix together and apply to face, making sure the oils are not irritating as citrus blends do irritate some skin types.

10. Deep Skin Cleanse

You will need:

  • ½ cup of carrot oil
  • 10 Drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 5 Drops of Tea Tree essential oil

Mix together and use a washcloth to steam into your face. Remove the dirt and grime and allow the goodness to soak in.
